PNP mourns death of ex-president Fidel Ramos


MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) mourned the death of former president Fidel Ramos.

Ramos died on Sunday at the age of 94.

In a statement, the PNP said the nation lost a great leader in Ramos’ death.

« He shall be remembered for his valuable contribution into improving the lives of the Filipinos, » said the PNP.

« More than being a military leader and a government official, he served as a good example to humanity through his incomparable wisdom and deeds, » he added.

Ramos was the 12th president of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998.
