F1 Azerbaijan GP LIVE: Charles Leclerc aims victory in Baku or will Red Bull be the party spoiler: Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took home his fourth consecutive pole position after a scintillating drive in the qualifying session on the streets of Baku. Meanwhile, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez out-qualified his teammate Max Verstappen and will start tomorrow’s race in the second spot. Lewis Hamilton looked like he struggled again and will start seventh on the grid tomorrow.

Charles Leclerc on his flying lap in Q3 leapfrogged his teammate Carlos Sainz and secured the pole position. His last flying lap looked like he was on a mission as he came out all guns blazing. He will be eager to get a good result after what happened in Monaco.

Carlos Sainz, the other driver for Ferrari is desperate to get a good result under his belt as he will start the race in the fourth spot. Although, he finished second in Monaco but he is under great pressure from his teammate Leclerc.

Sergio Perez continued his great form as he secured the second spot and he looked dominant on both Friday and Saturday. He does have a good record at Baku as he won the Grand Prix here last year.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen would be raring to go tomorrow as he would like to assert his dominance in the drivers’ standings. He was out-qualified by his teammate but we have seen wild things happening on the streets of Baku.

Mercedes continued to struggle as they were massively hit by Porpoising. Russell though claimed the gift spot on the grid for tomorrow’s race but Hamilton looked a bit shaky. Thankfully, his last flying lap in the Q3 session made sure he starts the race in the seventh spot.

The Silver Arrows did impress everybody in Spain after getting upgrades to their W13 challenger but they struggled in Monaco and are going through the same rough patch here in Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, all eyes would be on tomorrow’s race as we can see slight changes in the drivers’ standings. If Verstappen finishes third or below then he will take the second spot and if Leclerc takes the win then he will top the charts. All eyes are on tomorrow’s race.
